billigflug.de is a German flight comparison site, and you can earn Coin7 cashback on a flight if you start from our shop page before you book. It is meant for travellers from Germany who want a cheap connection within Europe or further afield. The cashback here is a fixed amount per confirmed booking, not a percentage of the fare. Below you can read how the site works and what to check so that a cheap ticket does not turn into an expensive one.

What billigflug.de does

The site describes itself as a specialist for cheap flights. It compares scheduled flights, charter flights and budget airlines, so you see a quick overview of what is on offer for your route and dates. Besides flights, there are offers for package holidays, hotels, rental cars and last-minute trips, which is handy if you want to look at the whole trip in one place.

You can create a customer account if you like. With it you can see all your flight bookings at a glance, store your contact details and look up the status of a flight.

Who it suits

A comparison site makes most sense when you are flexible. If you can move your trip by a day or two, or fly from a different airport, the overview shows you quickly where the savings are. It is also useful when you do not care which airline you take and simply want the best combination of price and times. If you have a fixed airline in mind because of miles or a specific baggage allowance, it is often quicker to go there directly.

Cheap does not always mean cheapest

The base fare is only part of the story. Budget airlines in particular charge separately for checked bags, seat selection and sometimes even for printing a boarding pass at the airport. Before you compare two offers, compare them with the same baggage. A fare that looks twenty euros cheaper can end up more expensive once you add a suitcase.

Also look at the times. A flight that lands at midnight outside the city may cost you a taxi or a hotel night that the price does not show. A short connection looks fine on screen and feels very different when the first flight is late.

Check these things before you pay
