HousingAnywhere is a platform for renting homes for a few months or longer, and you can earn Coin7 cashback on it if you start from our store page. The catch to know early: the cashback is tied to a booking that is actually consumed, so it is confirmed after the move-in rather than on the day you pay. It suits students, interns and people relocating for work who need a place sorted before they arrive.

What HousingAnywhere is

The platform connects people looking for mid-term and long-term rentals with landlords. According to the site, it has listings in more than 400 cities, and the whole process runs online. You search, look at descriptions, photos, videos and floor plans, and when something fits you message the landlord through the platform. That way questions and documents stay in one place instead of scattering across email and chat apps.

How booking works

Once your application is accepted, you pay the first month’s rent plus a tenant protection fee, which depends on the region. The site states that your stay is confirmed once the payment has been received. The rest of the rent is paid directly to the landlord afterwards. This split is where people get confused, so it is worth reading twice: the platform handles the first payment, and the landlord handles the months after that.

The tenant protection fee is described as non-refundable. Look at the amount before you commit, because it comes on top of the rent.

What the protection covers

The site lists three situations. If a landlord cancels at the last minute or delays your move-in, the platform helps you find alternative housing or a temporary place. If the home does not match its listing, you can get a refund. And the payment is held securely until the move-in has happened. For anyone who has ever sent a deposit to a stranger in another country, that third point is the one that lets you sleep. Read the exact conditions on the site to see what you must do and how fast you must report a problem.

A practical example: a student who has been offered an internship in another country for six months. A hotel for that long makes no sense, and a lease with a one-year minimum does not fit either. A medium-term rental is made for exactly this case, and doing the search and the paperwork from home before the flight takes a lot of stress out of the first week abroad.
