PlanetHoster cashback: what the host offers and how to claim
PlanetHoster is a web host with data centers in France, Switzerland and Canada, and its support is built around French speakers. If you run a website or two and want a provider you can actually reach, it is worth a closer look. You get cashback by starting your order at Coin7, and the current rate is shown on our shop page.
What PlanetHoster sells
The core of the range is shared hosting under the name Projet Web, sold in a Standard and a Plus tier. Above that sits a semi-dedicated tier called Ultra, and at the top there are managed cloud servers under the HybridCloud label. Around that you can register domains, set up professional email and get SSL certificates. Storage is NVMe, WordPress can be installed in one click, and the site mentions automatic backups kept for 45 days.
If you already have a site somewhere else, PlanetHoster says it moves it over for you at no charge. That is a real help when the idea of copying databases at midnight does not appeal to you.
Where the servers are
The company runs its own facilities in Paris, Lausanne and Montreal. This matters more than it sounds. A site that mostly serves visitors in Europe is usually better off in Paris or Lausanne, while a project aimed at Canadian readers can sit in Montreal and load faster for them. Decide this before you order, because moving later is extra work.
On availability, the host speaks of a contractual guarantee of 99.9 percent with compensation if it is missed, and it keeps a public status page, so you can see for yourself how it behaves.
Support and the money-back period
Support is offered around the clock by ticket, live chat and phone, and the technicians are said to be in-house and French-speaking. If you have ever waited three days for a template reply from a big host, that is the part that may win you over.
PlanetHoster also advertises a 60-day money-back guarantee, with domain costs deducted. Use that time properly: move your site, test the speed, send a support question and see how fast the answer comes. If it does not suit you, decide before the period ends.
Who it suits and what to check
- Owners of WordPress sites and small business pages who want straightforward shared hosting.
- Developers and agencies with several projects who value a support team they can call.
- People moving from another host who would rather not do the migration alone.
The site is mainly in French, so make sure you are comfortable with that when you manage your account. Also look at the price after the first term, not just the introductory price, and read the terms for the tier you pick. Check which currency you are billed in before paying.
How to get cashback at PlanetHoster
Open Coin7 and go to the shop page PlanetHoster. Click the button that takes you to the shop and order your plan as normal. The current rate is on that page; it differs depending on the type of order and can change. Cashback is confirmed only after the refund period has passed, which with a 60-day guarantee means some patience. If you want to use a voucher, take it only from our page, because a code from somewhere else can stop the order from being tracked.
Frequently asked questions
Do I get cashback on renewals?
Hosting programs usually reward new customers, not the automatic renewal of an existing contract. Check the terms on our shop page.
Does a domain on its own earn cashback?
Not necessarily. The reward is aimed at hosting orders, so an order with only a domain or a small extra may be treated differently.
Why does confirmation take so long?
The host waits until its money-back period is over. Until then the amount stays pending in your Coin7 account.
Can I cancel and still keep the cashback?
No. If you get a refund, the cashback for that order is cancelled too, since it is tied to a confirmed purchase.
